Hello,

I've got CiviCRM 4.4.4 running on Drupal 7.27. I added some 250 contacts over the past week and today I notice some additional contacts like 'Allen Allen', 'Kristan Kristan' and 'Leanne Leanne'. Any idea where these contacts come from ? (I did not add example data during installation)

Thanks Adixon, do you mean Drupal public registration ? It seems the contacts do not correspond with spam entries on the drupal side.

I believe the civicrm entries (via the Drupal profile mechanism) will get created even if the Drupal ones get blocked before they're created.

well probably given that enough time and ability is thrown at the problem ;-) but certainly not with what comes in the box at present

or perhaps another route would at least be to add a marker to civi accounts where the CMS is 'blocked'

we have done a bunch of work from the drupal side (ie Views and VBO) to make it easier to find spam accounts ie accounts that have never been accessed with the 'action' to then delete both drupal user and civi account - some time i will blog about it and provide the files etc
