Changing domain name of website
May 02, 2008, 08:05:47 am
I had to change the domain name of the website and now the main Drupal installation still responds correctly, but CiviCRM is wanting to keep the previous domain name when changing screens and is breaking the site since the old domain no longer works.  Apparently, I need to change some settings somewhere to update the domain name, but I do not know where.  Can anyone help me?

The domain name appears in several places in the civicrm.settings.php file, so I think you need make the changes there. There may be other files as well, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else will verify.

Thank you.  I was able to find and change the domain in that file.  Now, the pages change properly when clicking on links, but images on the page are not displaying.

Is the file system path for where your images are stored correct? Go to Administer CiviCRM/Global Settings/Directories to verify.

If the file system path is correct, perhaps clearing the Drupal cache will help.

Check Admin CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Resource URL - it is probably pointing to your old domain.
