Mailing error
April 29, 2014, 01:31:29 am
When I send a test mail I get the following error:
Failed to set sender: b+6+6+212c0d2850514698@ [SMTP: Invalid response code received from SMTP server while sending email. This is often caused by a misconfiguration in Outbound Email settings. Please verify the settings at Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Outbound Email (SMTP). (code: 501, response: 5.1.7 Bad sender address syntax)]

Outbound Email has been set correctly, and tested.
In addition, I can detail that I am copying the settings from another site that is working fine (this is a migration from my old site: a fresh CiviCRM installation, then I copy the old settings).
Thanks.

The respone of your smtp server say something as 'Bad sender syntax'
So the clue is probably somewhere in the from e-mail/from name settings. This could be default ones, or setup at each individual mailing.

Just ran into the same problem. Did you manage to solve yours?

In my case if I test my settings in "outbound e-mail setting", it works both with mail() as with SMTP. But when I try to send a test e-mail from Civimail I get error messages (the above when sending with SMTP).

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
