Odd behaviour of CiviDiscount extension
April 29, 2014, 12:17:50 pm
I'm working with a D6 site running CiviCRM 4.4.4 (and shortly to upgrade).

Using the CiviDiscount extension for event registrations. It appears to be working fine when applied to a price set. But when my client opted to simplify the pricing I dropped the price set and used the standard pricing options in the event configuration, then applied the discount to the event (i.e. removed the price set from the discount code configuration). Now the discount code has no effect. the user gets charged the full rate.

Set up a new price set to suit the new pricing, and applied that to the event, and changed the discount code to work with the new price set. The code now works as expected.

Conclusion: CiviDiscount works with the price set but not with standard event pricing. Don't know if this is a known issue.

Anyone else seeing anything on this?
