Am I thinking this through correct on CiviMail Settings
April 29, 2014, 07:05:22 pm
My host recommended that I send only 3 emails per minute, with no more than 200 per hour. So I set my settings as following.

I set my server CRON jobs to run every 20 minutes.
I have my CiviCRM Job Schedule for Mailings Scheduler as run frequency of Hourly. Wasn't sure if "Run every time a CRON job is run" would be better?

On the Mailer Settings page, I set as follows:
Mailer Batch Limit as 180
Mailier Throttle Time as 20000000 (or 20 seconds) - I was figuring 1 email every 20 seconds gives me the 3 emails a minute that is requested from host.
Mailer Job Size as 0
Mailer CRON Job Limit as 1

Is my thinking correct here with these settings?

not directly relevant, but you might want to seriously consider getting a host with more flexibility :)

I was a little surprised, especially since it was a highly recommend CiviCRM host provider from this forum.  ;D

It would be good you go back to the threads were it was recommended to add the information that this host doesn't allow mass mailing.
