Duplicate match merging custom data

Hi trying to get to the bottom of where things are at with merging custom data in 2.0 - as far as I can see it is not an option. Happy to be told I am wrong.

Oooh - I feel a monologue coming on. When matching I get offered an unnamed field - why would this be. (see third row with an '0' in one and a '1' in the other. Also why do I have to accept all or none of a location change, when I may well want to accept just the email but not the address? See jpg to see what I see. THanks

Hm, I’m pretty sure I did work on custom data merging for 2.0 (along the schema changes) and had it working for quite a couple of data types if not all (if some don’t work then that’s a bug; i.e., all should work).

This is a limitation of the current implementation (the reason was that it was easier to implement it this way). Please file an issue on this in our issue tracker.

Hey Piotr - not sure I will get to setting it up on demo but if i can find an example while in Nelson will show the lads over there, if that would count.

no - my concern is that the duplicate system is not working as well as I hoped so I am going to do a re-import to try and minimise the number I end up with - am sure when i do it and find more anomalies I will let you know  ;)

just tested it on the demo site.. events and activities seem to be merging, the only thing i see not working is custom fields.

tested on 2.0 demo.. is this an issues that was worked on 2.1?

There were at least some improvements to merging in 2.1, and if you can reproduce your issue on the 2.1 sandbox, it’s easier for us to fix it (so it’s fixed in 2.1).

trying to add custom data to test it.. getting the following error
