Strange behavior? Creating new Financial Type gives constraint error
May 02, 2014, 03:08:56 pm
Hi everyone,

I was trying to create some new financial types earlier, but it was giving me a database constraint error and I was stumped as to why. Then I checked the financial type list and the types had been created anyway! I was wondering if this is something to do with my configuration (maybe? probably?). Since the types were actually created it's not an urgent matter, but it would be nice to fix it in case anyone wants to create financial types in the future.

Thanks!

Erik Hommel

Hi Erik, thanks, and sorry for the late reply.

The error message is not a very helpful one (at least to me):

Quote
Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
DB Error: constraint violation
Return to home page.

That's all it tells me.
