Add selections to drop down menus
May 05, 2014, 08:37:07 am
I am trying to find where I can add  selections to drop down menus in my profile fields. Right now it just has select with no options to choose. Can someone point me to where I can do that? thanks

Are these custom fields you have created?

Do you have all appropriate permissions? (Can't tell you what they are as I only work with drupal)

For non-custom dropdowns go to CiviCrm Component, then "Administer", then "Customize Data and Screens", then "Dropdown Options". You'ss see things like Gender, Suffix, Prefix and others.

For your custom fields, "Administer", then "System Settings" then "Option Groups"
Look closely, as yours from custom fields will be mixed in with default civi ones.

as karenann said - though for options on custom fields you can find/edit them by going back to the custom field, if i understand you issue correctly

remembering of course that what a profile shows is dependent on what has been set up in the fields first
