Extending custom CiviCRM Tokens
May 12, 2014, 12:07:42 am
I have created a custom token to add a link to a clients Facebook page and this works well, which will be used to appear in a newsletter template (albeit, I still have to polish the module).

As the newsletters are also visible online (made public), the newsletter header has the token to allow the reader to view the newsletter online.

I would now like to add a facility to add a token that will create a Facebook 'like this page' link.  Is there a way to get the mail id into my custom token.  The tokens created in CiviCRM reference a variable called $mailing, which returns the mailing_id.  How can I utilize this variable.

Any help or pointers would be fantastic and greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Simon.
