Import errors ...
May 05, 2008, 12:50:18 pm
Hi,

I'm running CiviCRM 2.0.3 (fresh install) on PHP 5.2.5 and MySQL 5.0.1 and Drupal 5.6.  I try importing a CSV file that is 103KB (not large at all) and about 2,000 records ... just name, e-mail and address info.  I get to about 114 records imported and then get this error:

We encountered an unknown error in setError: Error: bad http response code:500

Any suggestion?  This is very frustrating - I could never import files via version 1.9 and now it seems the same issues are occurring with version 2.0.3.  It doesn't seem like a 103 KB file should be giving this application issues.  What do you suggest?  Is anyone else experiencing import issues with version 2.0.3?

Additionally I have our PHP memory limit set to 64M and 100M max.  I also just shrunk the CSV file down to 84 KB and still get the error:

We encountered an unknown error in setError: Error: bad http response code:500

I have been importing several large datasets 4-10,000 rows recently (2.0.3 and drupal) without the problems you are having. Sorry but cannot offer any suggestions other than, the system can work, and I hope someone can come along soon to help you out.

what is your php execution time limit? i suspect it is still the default 30 seconds. you might want to increase this significantly

It's set to 3600.  What would you recommend raising it to?

Should it be higher than that?
