Hi,

we are using Joomla 3.3 and the latest civicrm version. We would like to use the personal campaign pages for charity-runs. Unfortunately when I am making a contribution to the pcp-site everything is working well and a new contribution is added with the status "pending" (because of the pay later option).

When I now set the status to "completed" in the civicrm-backend the "link" to the pcp-site is gone. The campaign-site is showing the contribution - but not the related pcp.
It seems as if the information is lost upon the status-change!

Another - maybe unrelated - issue is that the pictures set on the pcp are not loading. The browser shows a error while loading the page (500) an is only showing a question mark instead of the real image.
I have no clue whether this two issues are related or not...


We really like to use the pcp-feature, but there seems to be a bug with the pay later option. (I have read several older post stating related problem - but there are no answers posted...)

Is somebody having the same problem? Looking forward for same help...

It seems like the soft credit for the contribution is only linked to the owner of the pcp - NOT the pcp ... when I change this in the backend the contribution is shown on the pcp (incl. honor roll etc.). But the information from the donor on the pcp are gone...

Just for your information: I managed to find a way how the pcp with pay-later option is working. It seems to be the case, that you have to update the status of the contribution by the search for pending contributions. After that you can update the status via the batch function.

BUT: If anyone changes the status of the contribution manually by "opening" the contribution record and changing the status it will NOT by shown on the pcp and any comment or name for the honor-roll by the donor will be lost!

In my option this seems to be a bug in the current civicrm-version... but maybe it is some sort of feature? But I don't get the sense of it...

After further testing I can report that the pcp information is gone at the point of opening the contribution record. Even if you leave the status unchanged, the link to the pcp is gone. However you can still manually add it to a pcp of your choice BUT the honor-roll information (Name and comment) of the donor are gone.

Just a short update: I was able to replicate the same issue on the demo-site! In my opinion it is definitely a bug.
If someone edits (not changing anything, just clicking the link "edit" and "save" afterwards) a contribution linked to a pcp the link to that pcp got lost. And with it all notes from the donor to the honor-wall.

That issue is kind of annoying, because it is not unlikely that someone edits a new contribution and deletes the link to the pcp without knowing...

How can I report that issue?

If you would like to check it on the demo-site yourself just do the following steps:

1) add a contribution to a contact with "pending state" AND link it to a pcp
2) Search for contributions with "pending" state with the search-feature
3) Mark the contribution and select "change contribution state" and then change the status to "completed"
4) Check to fronted of the pcp - the contribution you added should be shown in the honor-roll
5) Now go to the contact and "edit" the contribution (clicking on "edit") and just close the view by clicking on "save" without making any changes
6) Now check the pcp again - the contribution is not displayed anymore
