Multiple membership registrations
May 15, 2014, 12:37:42 pm
I am managing wordpress website for a non-profit organization with civicrm installed. We are handling all the events and recently I configured it to handle memberships. We are offering Individual, Institutional memberships. Individual membership is straight forward ($40), but Institutional membership is offering 4 members to register on institutional payment ($120). In addition institutional membership allows additional members at additional cost of $20. I need help to configure the forms which will allow multiple members (4) to register under Institutional  and additional members at additional price of $20.
Appreciate your help.

CiviCRM and Wordpress do not offer the multiple memberships feature exactly as you describe.   Please understand that free software cannot accommodate the ideas of every organization in the world without some customization.   ;)

You can however, sell an Institutional membership to one organizational member and one "point of contact" Individual on the same form.  The other three individuals can be entered into a textfield with name and email.  And someone at the office can enter these people in manually as the other three members underneath this organization.

If that is not satisfactory you can hire a provider to customize the open source software to meet your needs exactly.

What you describe IS exactly possible using the Drupal Webform CiviCRM Integration module, but you do not use Drupal.
