On Hold Flag Shouild set to 0 When User Subscribes Anew to List
May 16, 2014, 09:25:39 am
Hi,

From what I understand, when an email is flagged to "On Hold" because of bouncing... it stays that way until an admin unchecks it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems that if a user fills in a new subscribe form, that Civi should check to see if that email has been set to hold and if it is, should reset it to "0" (not on hold).

Let's say someone's mailbox was full, their email bounced a bunch of times and they were set to "on hold." The person gets around to cleaning up their mailbox and realizes they aren't receiving emails anymore from a cherished mailing list. That person goes to the subscribe page on the web site and subscribes anew. That person gets NO error message AND no email because their On Hold flag is still set to on.

Do people agree this is a problem?

Suggested methods for addressing this?
