Mass mailing sent from localhost / FQDN
May 22, 2014, 07:10:51 am
Hi!

When I send mass mailing using cron ( cron job php /var/www/html/drup/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/cli.php -s "my FQDN" -u " my username" -p "my password" -e Job -a execute  ) message is received in my SMTP as received from localhost  ( not FQDN). This makes spam filters to increase spam level and I need to solve this problem, but I do not know how.

When I am sending mass mailing test message ( last step when creating mailing)  everything works as it should - message is received in mailserver as FQDN and no spam level increased.

So I see that problem persists only when I sent using scheduled cron job.

the mailing test feature (step 4 of 5) is a complete different method of sending mail than the scheduled job is.  This is confusing I admit - but is not an accurate test of your settings - it is only a test of your mailing content (text).

The only true way to test your mailing is to create a "test group" of 1 or 2 people, and proceed all the way past step 5, waiting for cron to send your mailing.
