Tell a friend: “This field has been disabled because you do not have sufficient"
May 24, 2014, 03:22:34 pm
I have a problem that completely stumps me after hours of research and exploring.
Can you help?

1.   Go to: https://charterforcompassion.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=6&reset=1&id=6
2.   Sign up to become a member – use a fake name – not your real name or user name to test the system under conditions in which the “Anonymous” user is accessing the form
3.   you can choose Free membership if you don’t want to pay – then click “Confirm Contribution”
4.   Finish the process, and then click on “Tell a Friend”
5.   In the Your Message field, you see a message that “This field has been disabled because you do not have sufficient privileges to edit it.”

The problem is that when you arrive at the Tell a Friend page, you are unable to enter any text in the Message field. The ONLY way I have found to solve this problem is to give the “Anonymous” role in Drupal the permission to use the “Full HTML” Text Format. And THAT would be insecure.

Perhaps try here:

https://andrewhimes.org/civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/display?reset=1

changing the "Input Format" to something different. Maybe that will help.
