Uninstalling CiviHR from Wordpress
May 27, 2014, 01:23:12 pm
Hi All,

I see this has been posted about before but I don't see any complete answers. Is there a guide to removing CiviHR from a Wordpress CiviCRM installation? If so, could someone please direct me to it?

Thanks!

Hi, I don't think there is any guide yet on how to remove CiviHR from a CiviCRM installation on WordPress, but I will ask around for someone to help you with this. Are there any specific error messages or screenshots that you could provide, or are you stuck on how to start the process?

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your response!

I have uninstalled the CiviHR extensions using the Extension admin panel but they aren't really gone. When I bring up a contact profile, all the CiviHR tabs are still there (see screencap below).

I am also getting DB syntax errors when attempting to add a new pledge or just look at the pledge dashboard and DB field not found errors when using the search builder. CiviHR seems to have really done a number on my installation.

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
e.

Hi,

The un-installation part has not been handled properly and is a bug in CiviHR1.2.

The related issue has been filed for CiviHR1.3 release. You can find it here: https://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/HR-303

Thanks.

Thank you - I'm glad the uninstall issue is being resolved.

So, is this to say that when 1.3 is available, I just need to install 1.3 and uninstall it and the CiviHR extensions will be truly gone?

Thanks!

Yes, when CiviHR1.3 will be available, you will have to upgrade your civiHR to 1.3 version and un-install the extensions. That will undo related DB changes (The contacts created through hrsampledata extension will be there but there job, absence, recruitment related data will be gone).

Thanks.
