Mass-mail timeout

My website is hosted on a shared server. System parameters are set by the provider.
Mass-mail usually (not every time) is unable to complete its task due to a "timeout", and a lot of mails remain unsent.
AFAIK a solution should be: group the recipients in small group, and manually create many mass-mail tasks, to be scheduled at different times.
I wonder if there is any extension to CiviCRM, or any other solution to better solve /automate this task.

your best option (IMO) is to switch providers to something like civihosting, which is quite affordable and speciailizes in civicrm

The amount of time / money that can be spent on figuring out how to get around cheap hosting is not a good path, IMO
