Unable to change an event title

I have an event whose title I need to change. The event has a handful of registrants.  Is that what might be preventing me from changint the title?  I don't get an error message or anything, but neither do I get a confirmation message that my event has been updated.

Would it be safe to change it in the database?

I don't think it is a problem to change a title of an event. Strange that you cannot change it from the UI.
