Is there any way to create custom forms and then have that data get pushed to a backend database?

Thanks

You can do this w/ CiviCRM Profiles. You can learn about them there:

(be sure to read the section about Linking Profiles in Joomla front-end as you explore this topic)

I forgot to add one thing.  I would like the form to work like phil-a-form.  So It would automatically send a reply to the user and an email to my business partner as well as pushing the data to a database for reporting later.  Is this also found in this section?

Thanks
