Don´t show contribution, membership,... when Upgrate civicrm 2.0.1 to 2.0.3
May 08, 2008, 03:59:07 am
Hello,

I have upgrated Joomla 5 civicrm 2.0.1 to 2.0.3. When I access to someone contact I can´t access to the tabs contribution, membership, events,... because they don´t exist!!
I have upgrated it from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 and the problem is the same.

What´s happen?

Thankyou very much

The tabs are generated by Dojo, which requires JavaScript. Does JavaScript works at all for you?

The easiest way to check this: when you type something into the search box, do partial matches appear, and the search box itself has the following icon next to it? (http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/sites/drupal.demo.civicrm.org/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dijit/themes/tundra/images/arrowDown.png)

Thank you very much for your reply, Piotr. Yes, I have problems with dojo library. I have installed the plugin Firebug for Firefox and it says:

failed loading http://www.mywebplace.com/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo/./nls/commonWidgets_es-es.js with error: Access denied while trying to call the method XMLHttpRequest.opendojo.js (line 20)

Could not load 'dojo.nls.commonWidgets_es-es'; last tried './nls/commonWidgets_es-es.js'
[Break on this error] if(typeof dojo=="undefined"){(function(){if(typeof this["djConfig"]=="undefined"...
dojo.js (line 20)

[Exception... "'Error: Bundle not found: validate in dijit.form , locale=es-es' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001c (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_JS_OBJECT)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]

In Global Settings-Resource URLs I have correctly configurated the path.

What´s the problem?

thanks

Please try to load the URL directly in your browser and see whether it can be reached at all. If so, let us know.

If not, it seems you have the Resource URLs wrong (do you see the contact icons and other images?). In particular, the /./ part seems suspicious.

Ok. I load the URL

http://www.mywebplace.com/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo/./nls/commonWidgets_es-es.js

in my web navigator and it show:

dojo.provide("dojo.nls.commonWidgets_es-es");dojo.provide("dijit.nls.loading");dijit.nls.loading._built=true;dojo.provide("dijit.nls.loading.es_es");dijit.nls.loading.es_es={"loadingState": "Cargando...", "errorState": "Lo siento, se ha producido un error"};dojo.provide("dijit.nls.Textarea");dijit.nls.Textarea._built=true;dojo.provide("dijit.nls.Textarea.es_es");dijit.nls.Textarea.es_es={"iframeEditTitle": "edit area", "iframeFocusTitle": "edit area frame"};dojo.provide("dijit._editor.nls.commands");
[...]
"{0} {1}"};

And yes, I can see the contact icons and other images as the print icon.

Ok, one more check. Can you go to a CiviCRM page, look at its source and paste the URL of the Dojo script (something like http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/sites/drupal.demo.civicrm.org/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo/dojo.js) to a browser window, to see whether Dojo loads?

If so – do you experience the above issue with Firebug turned off?

I can´t find the URL of the Dojo Script in any CiviCRM page. I´m sorry.

If I disable Firebug I have the same problem. But I have a local instalation of my website and I have updated it and I haven´t got any problem, I can see the tabs in any Contact and Firebug doesn't show me any alert.

Can my remote Civicrm be incorrectly configured?

Chank you very much for your help Piotr.

When you view source of a CiviCRM page, it should be somewhere near the top, a line starting with
Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript" src="…

Your best bet is to check your local (working) install for it; it’d be rather strange if it’s entirely missing from your remote install.

This is most probably the case (although I haven’t encountered one like your before; usually the problem lies with resource URL).

Hello,

I´m sorry Piotr but when you told me to search the script in the source I search in the folders of com_civic...

Ok, I have found the dojo.js in the civicrm page and when I copy and paste it on the explorer I had the same errors.

I have installed a local website but I haven´t got the Contacts and other configurations of Civic. So I have downloaded my website and my database to my computer and I have configurated it for my localhost. I have updated civicrm 2.01 to 2.0.2 and I have reconfigurated the URL´s resource for my localhost and I HAVEN´T GOT ANY PROBLEM!!!!

My domain supplier doesn´t block scripts and hasn´t got any script of security.

What do you think the problem is??

thank you very much

If the site works for you locally, but doesn’t work remotely, then this is most probably some issue with your hosting provider. We can’t really help you much more – if it works locally, we can’t guess what’s wrong…

Your best bet would be to ask your hosting provider to look into it (or at least into the webserver’s logs, maybe there’s a clue in there).

Hello,

my civicrm works now correctly! I have downloaded my Joomla and civicrm instalation to my computer and I have reinstalled civicrm 2.0.2 and reconfigurated URL´s resource. And my civicrm works correctly. Then I have copied this anyway to my remote server and reconfigured the files of Joomla and Civicrm and the URL´s resource and it works correctly!

I think this happened because my server limits the installation of civicrm or something like that.

Thank you very much for your help
