Report templates from smart groups question

I am trying to make a dashlet out of a smart group.  I have several smart groups that contain constituents.  I would like to have a detail report that I can make into a dashlet that will display a list of all the people in that group.  Does anyone know a way to get this done?  Civi 4.4.3 currently but moving up.  Thanks!

Select a report, I used 'Constituent Summary'.   In 'Report Criteria' set a filter of your smart group.  In 'Report Settings' check 'Available for Dashboard?' and 'Save a Copy...'  The report of your smart group will then be available for the dashboard.  Of course, you can then go back and refine it by removing and adding fields etc.

Thanks.  You know, sometimes it is the little stuff that trips me up.  Choosing a constituent report was my missing link.  I appreciate your taking the time to point me in the right direction.
