Turning people included into a report into a group
June 16, 2014, 07:48:14 am
Hello!

I am not seeing an immediate way to do this, so I am wondering if it is possible: do you know if you can take contacts included in a report (like a SYBUNT for example) and add all of them to a group, so you can search that group for some other factor (like an Activity type)?

Thanks!

I don't think you can do this directly from a report.

A  non-code alternative would be to create  "donated" and "donated this year" smart groups then use the custom Include/Exclude search  to create a sybunt smart group for use in advanced searches.

On a report's last page there is a button 'Add these Contacts to a Group'.  The group has to exist already though.  I just tried this & it works fine - is this what you mean?

The  'Add these Contacts to a Group'  button only appears for some reports.  It is not on SYBUNT but is on LYBYNT.
