Gift Aid - ZIP file is unavailable or malformed

I have been trying to install the Gift Aid extension from within Civi (DrupaL 4.4.5) but get the following error message when I click 'download and install' "Download failed - ZIP file is unavailable or malformed"

Any help appreciated.

Not sure, but perhaps your server can't handle the download. Can you try to manually install it?

Thank you. I will raise a support ticket with our hosting company and see what happen.

The best way to tell is to try another extension and see if you get the same error. But yes, likely a hosting issue...

Thank you, I have now tried two more extensions and have the same errors. I have raised a support ticket with the hosting company and we will see what happens.

Is it likely to be a memory allocation issue?

I don't think so - I've got an install of my own with the same problem. It's practically empty :)

Let us know if your hosts fix it, and if so, what the fix was.

I have now downloaded the zip file to my own computer and then extracted and uploaded to the CiviCRM extensions directory and installed it using my FTP client.

However while I can see a gift aid section when I go to "new contribution" there is no ability to add data, nor is the "gift aid" report is not listed under "reports".

I am wondering if the install has worked properly.
