Authorize.net access denied when declined

When someones credit card is declined it is sending them to the "access denied" page instead of giving a message to try again. Any idea why it doesn't just give them an error message telling them to retry?

I you are on 4.4.3 as your profile suggests upgrading to 4.4.5 might fix this (note that there were a LOT of bug fixes in 4.4.4 especially but also in 4.4.5. However, 4.4.5 does contain a regression that will affect you if you are using contact images)

This seems to be happening with us using CiviContribute and Linkpoint as well.

I don't think there are any DB updates - so it's probably just swapping the code out

I did this update, and the error still occurs for Linkpoint, fyi. I've split this into its own forum entry since it's a different payment processor. Any more ideas?

This problem was caused by an ampersand "&" in the company name field. Eliminating the ampersand permitted our user to process their payment successfully.

That should be fixable within the LinkPoint code by adding escaping (although you may be happy to stick with the workaround for now)

So updating from 4.4.3 to 4.4.5 has not db updates? if so i will update asap! I had a lot of update issues in the past...

Generally you should upgrade fairly aggressively on point releases as they usually have bug fixes & rarely introduce new upgrade issues.
