Activities in timeline not assigned to anyone?

When I make a new case the activities all drop into the timeline like I expect but they are never assigned to anyone. I might just be missing something or misunderstanding something but I cannot seem to get the activities assigned unless I go into each one and manually add the name to on the 'assigned to' line in the activity.

There's a difference between having the whole case be assigned to someone vs each individual activity. They are not the same thing so assigning the case does not automatically assign each activity.

Is it possible to assign the activities in the case to a specific person or persons without going into each activity and doing it?

There's no configuration setting for it. You could probably write a hook for it (although I'm not sure about the timing, i.e. the activities might not exist yet at the time a hook is called for case creation - it might have to be at activity add time instead of case creation).

Also check the extensions listings, maybe someone already has done it.
