Survey and canvass data submitted via webform not visible to users as Activities

I've created both a survey form and a canvass form using webform_civicrm. Users can log on to the page for the forms and use the form to submit data. As the admin I can see all the data submitted, both in Activities and in the table for the webform. The forms work as intended.


But users who have submitted data via the forms do not see the Survey or Canvass data submitted as Activities in their own record (these users are both the Source contact and the Assignee contact), nor in the record of the Target contact. 


How do I enable users to see the data?
