Hi All,

Referring to the subject title, two questions.

1. Is it possible to set up membership type where the 1st year is free but only need to pay for subsequent years.
2. If yes, then can anyone show me how to set it up as I can't seem to find it in the setting. If no, can any suggest ways to tweak CIVICRM to implement this?

Running on CiviCRM 4.2.16 and Joomla! 2.5.19.

Hi. Have you thought about using the Cividiscount extension. You could set up a 100% discount that can only be used for the membership type you are focussing on, and limit it such that it can only be used once be each user.

Might be a solution for you.
