Views Export - Group field

When exporting information to a csv using views data export i am unable to get a field that has all of the groups that they are in as one field. Is there a way in views to get a field that displays all of the users groups? - for example (group1, group3, group5). instead of just showing a duplicate record with each individual group title.

hmm that's odd - i thought civi did exactly that - provided one cell with groups comma separated. want to clarify how you are constructing your search?

hmm just proved what i expected on demo

search, export, select fields eg Internal ID, Display Name, Groups

get single cell showing all groups for each contact = see attached - hope that helps

Yes it does do that when viewing lists in civicrm. i am using views though. When using the views module it does not do this out of the box from what i can see.

My bad. Sorry for misreading the post. You are identifying the problem as occurring at the point of export - how is it showing in the Views display? and what does the view query show?
