Localization problems
June 30, 2014, 01:55:59 pm
Hi,

I am running 4.4.5 on a Linux-based Joomla CMS.
All the localized tables I checked are all in english; even though the civicrm.mo has all the requiered translations, none of the sql statements in sql/civicrm_data.fr_CA.mysql seem to have been executed.

1- Any idea why?
2- Am I supposed to ran them manually somehow? The update procedure only says drop the files in place.

Thanks,

Yves

Did you add a second language via the CiviCRM web interface?

Hey ylavoie,
I was never lucky to see CiviCRM apply those SQL statements to the database. Even if I made like indicated on the Drupal installation instructions (Joomla instructions need a fix on that, I've been talking to Mathieu about) and place the l10n stuff inside the installation package prior to install procedure, nothing happens.

Hershel, I always add the second language (pt_BR), but nothing happens on the database side, only the strings get translated. I even thought that the SQL stuff was deprecated/abandoned, but seems that's is just a bug, is it right?
