Anyone know if there is a way to limit the number of terms a membership can be used before a user must select another membership?

An example may be the following:

I give a user a complementary membership. After renewing that membership for 2 years, they would need to select a "permanent" membership. Kinda like a trial. Additionally, they wouldn't be able to select Complementary membership again if it was available publicly.

Can't think of anything that exists and it sounds like it may involve a fair amount of coding to prevent a Membership Type being available.

THere might be work arounds using Activities and other things that would make life easier at the backend.

But it sounds like you need some conditional that would make your trial membership unavailable or at least invisible if someone has had a Join Date for that trial membership type that is > 2 years
