Requiring .EDU email address for student membership
July 01, 2014, 11:55:52 am
We want to offer a discounted membership for students but would like to require an .edu email address.  I'm a bit lost on how to setup the form validation on our contribution pages.

I created a custom function and registered that as a quickform rule.  I made some progress but upon further investigation I'm not sure this is the right direction to take or will ultimately do what I want.

I'm rethinking all I need is a bit of client side validation in the template files though I haven't investigated completely?  Anyone ever done something similar or have advice on how best to implement?

I think either method should work. It probably depends on what you are more comfortable with or what it is easier. Client side is probably easier IMO.
