Why is the demo using 4.4.7?
July 03, 2014, 07:42:52 am
I did a quick test on the demo to see if something is fixed in 4.4.6, but it looks like the version in the demo is 4.4.7??? At the bottom of the page in admin it says: "Powered by CiviCRM 4.4.7." How can I see if an upgrade will fix my issue?

I'm having a similar problem.  I have an issue, but part of the issue process is to duplicate it on the Civi demo system.  But the demo site isn't on the same release as my implementation.  When will 4.4.7 be available?

I think it's just pulling from the 4.4 branch of the code on GitHub, which increases the version number to the one ahead of the current version.

Don't worry about that discrepancy if you're trying to replicate a problem: worst case, you have a bug that's been fixed and you can't replicate it, but in a way, that's good news--you can track down the issue where it was fixed and find a patch.  You're much more likely to find that same bug sitting there, version number be damned.

(We'll help folks with sites on older versions that find problems, but using the demo site is still useful for them: if there's no issue reported, a problem can exist undetected for a while.)
You can find me at AGH Strategies.
