A better explanation of how CiviHR fits in with CiviCRM?

This post is directed at those involved with developing CiviHR.

People are confused about how to use CiviHR.

So we end up with http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,33067.0.html and http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,32255.msg141799.html#msg141799 and http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,31550.msg138576.html#msg138576

If the following is still the case then I think that information needs to be prominently displayed in both the description of the extension https://civicrm.org/extensions/civihr and on https://github.com/civicrm/civihr/blob/1.3-beta1/doc/INSTALL.md and https://github.com/civicrm/civihr/blob/1.2/doc/INSTALL.md

I could easily be wrong, but I thought you needed to run civihr as an install in its own right, not try to combine it with a "normal" civicrm site.

that's correct and it's a recommended way for using CiviHR as of now.
