I'm looking at generating thank you letters, and where an individual has given several times, send only one letter with the total amount of donations, rather than sending multiple letters.

Is there a way to do this? Currently doing the thank you letter by selecting the individual/donations from contribution search, and running thank you letters. But the "Total amount" token gives the total amount of only one donation at a time, and as many letters are generated as there have been donations.

What would be the best (and easiest) way around that?

Try the "Summary Fields" extension for statistics fields like "contributions this year" and "last year" and so on. I believe these fields are available as tokens too.

Not doing *exactly* what I need it to, but much better than the other options so far.
