No title in event registration page for Wordpress

I am currently in the process of moving from Joomla to Wordpress. (The migration went splendidly, upgrades in Wordpress....seamless!) Can anyone shed some light on why event pages (or donation pages for that matter) do not include the title of the page they are listing. This is only when you use the short code to place on a page, not when you use the civi link. (Using shortcode allows me to have a pretty URL rather than the long civi link.)

but with no replies.

I assume it's not calling the template file common/wordpress.tpl any idea if there's anyway to have this happen so that it produces a page just like the civi URL?

I think that's how the shortcode is intended to work.  With shortcode, the form is inserted INSIDE an existing WP page that already has a page title.  Thus it shows the WP page title instead, not the CiviCRM title.  Can't you just add additional text above the shortcode?

That will work, not sure why that didn't dawn on me. (And once it progresses onto the second or third screen of a donation or registration page, civi takes over and puts the title on the page!)
