Contact Dashboard on Drupal is not populating the sections on groups or rel'ns

THE PROBLEM:

My Contact Dashboard inaccurately reports that there are no relations and no groups etc. on file for the user logged in.  It did populate pledges, contributions, and events, however. 

Our site runs on CiviHosting, Drupal and MySQL with 2nd to latest version of CiviCRM. 

The user account has authenticated user and administrator roles and permissions including administer CiviCRM etc.
 
I verified permissions (DG had mentioned in a previous post about the my contact dashboard)
where authenticated users could:
-access my contact dashboard
-profile listings & forms
-make contributions
-register for events

The user account has over 10 relationships including a spouse in CiviCRM plus at least 3 groups that are marked as mailing lists.

Any help appreciated.

Also, this is noted on the DRUPAL - CIVICRM demo site for the user demo.

The user, demo, has 2 relationships recorded however neither one shows up under the "my contact dashboard" page, relationship section, when logged in as user demo.

By contrast, our site doesn't offer a dropdown
to subscribe on the spot to groups like the demo site does.
And, the contact dashboard on the demo site remembers and displays group membership(s) dynamically.
Ours has nothing, merely the letter i, lower case, white on black circle for information, with nothing displayed.

Did you find an answer to this? I'm getting the same behavior except that events are shown correctly- everything else is blank despite relationships and groups showing correctly on the record itself

can you confirm it is not just that those options are not set to show at

where you can specify what elements show on your dashboard?
