where are dayly updated .mo files? (error at i18n Administrator's Guide)

Hi,
In i18n Administrator's Guide (http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/i18n+Administrator%27s+Guide#i18nAdministrator%27sGuide-Updatingyourtranslationfiles) it says:

Quote
Updating your translation files using the "civicrm.mo" files packaged daily
This is the easiest method: every day at 9h45 PST, the CiviCRM website packages updated translation files, these are available on the download page.
where download page is:
https://civicrm.org/download

and, there, you can read:
Quote
Looking for localization files, Long Term Support (LTS) releases, older releases or pre-release versions? click here
where click here go to: http://sourceforge.net/projects/civicrm/files/

But there you can NOT get dayly .mo files...

1) Then, where can I find dayly .mo files?

and, 2) should/can I update i18n admin guide?

Regards

mathieu

Hi,

Thanks for raising the issue. Indeed, there is confusion, partly because some of the work is still pending. I had created a new, but never published page for translations: https://civicrm.org/download-translations

Initially, I wanted to generate the civicrm-4.4.x-l10n.tar.gz daily, with the translations pulled from Transifex every day. However, publishing that takes more resources, since we need to generate the sql files as well, and is version-specific. So I wasn't particularly satisfied with the above page (download-translations), and a bit stalled honestly.

Another option which is more user-friendly, but not 100% tested/documented and could use review/testing, is CiviDesk's l10nupdate extension: https://github.com/cividesk/com.cividesk.l10n.update

This extension makes it easy to update the .mo files of civicrm core and extensions. It is probably the best option, and avoids having to describe lots of steps to translators who may not be particularly technical. Any thoughts?
