Contact State Insert Token Not Working

There has been several posts regarding Insert Tokens, but either the post didn't address my specific issue, or there was no response, so I'm starting a new topic.

I'm experiencing an issue where the {contact.state_province} insert token is not displaying in PDF letters. It is the only token that doesn't display. I've tested in Chrome, Firefox and IE browsers, and in both WYSIWYG editors (CKEditor and TinyMCE). I'm receiving no errors in Firebug and am at a loss.

Installation is running Drupal 6.31 and CiviCRM 4.4.4.

Any suggestions?

You should upgrade to 4.4.6 which was a security release.

Your problem may be gone then.

I thought that upgrading might solve the problem. Thank you for responding.
