Sending an e-mail on follow-up activities

Hi,

is it possible to automatically send an email wenn a follow-up activity is recorded.

Let's say I have a meeting today with a contact and after one week I want to have an email reminder that tells me to make a phonecall to that contact. So my idea was to go to the contact, add an activity "meeting" and schedule a follow-up with phonecall at a specific date/time. So far everything works fine and I got the follow-up activity but sadly no reminder email is sent ... is there a way to make that happen? or should it work and I got a problem with my installation?

In you upgrade to 4.4 series you can do this with a scheduled reminder, but I am not sure what functionality was available in 4.2.X.

Even if you don't upgrade to 4.4.6 you should upgrade to the latest version 4.2 version which is 4.2.17 as there have been various security upgrades since 4.2.6

Hi joanne

I'm already running 4.4.5 but forgot to update my profile - sorry.

Concerning the scheduled reminders: they work really well but that's not excactly what I'm looking for. As far as I understand I can create something that is always working when someone creates an activity with a certain status.

But what I would like to use is the follow up information on an activity that the user can add to the activity (the last accordian) and then send an email just a little bit before that defined date/time
