Addressee customized field suddenly has the term 'home' entered after 4.4.6 up

Hi, CiviCRM 4.4.6 on WordPress 3.9.1 running Twenty Twelve theme. On upgrade to 4.4.6 the Addressee customized field suddenly contains the term 'home' entered into it and this is what appears when we print address labels for contacts that had a customized value. This was not happening before upgrade. Has anyone else seen this? Has a value from another table shifted into this field, and how can we correct this?
Any ideas appreciated

This is perhaps not a lot of help, but on our drupal upgrade to 4.4.6 we didn't experience the same problem. The customized Addressee entries were unchanged.
