action.subscribeURL.gid URL works, but the email it sends is empty

action.subscribeURL.gid creates a URL where a contact has to enter an email address then press submit to send a confirmation email to that email address. So far, so good. But the email it sends is empty. How do I get some content in that message?

Probably a message like: "This message has been sent to you to confirm that you wish to join our group. If you did not confirm your wish to join the group, then this is being sent to you in error. Please do nothing. Otherwise blah blah ..."

I'm sure this has worked for many people before me, and I am missing some step I need to take. Please point me in the right direction.

In 4.4  the wording for automated messages such as the subscribe message can be found at yoursite/civicrm/admin/component?reset=1. There should be default wording there unless someone has deleted it

Hopefully location is the same for 4.3.

I found it now, and enabled it, and it worked. Thank-you!
