IPN Issues in CiviContribute

Good morning, everyone.

I have a quick, yet vexing, question.

Background:

Our website: www.brewbeagles.org

I am the web guru (which is funny considering I'm not a developer/coder) and I manage/maintain/develop new stuff on our joomla-based website. We are a non-profit animal rescue org that uses CiviCRM extensively. We also have a store on the website where we sell tshirts, etc. to supporters of our cause. That store uses ZenCart with Paypal IPN.

Just yesterday, I set up a contribution page to help raise money for a particular dog's medical care. I've gone through the whole Manage Page thing - and the page is live and getting attention. We've had a number of donations.

Question:

All contributions are currently set at status "Pending" and don't seem to be changing. I've read a lot of the forums that talk about the Paypal IPN tweaking, etc. BUT, if I change the IPN URL and notification URL won't that screw up the IPN info for our store?

Is there a way to have mulitple IPNs for one website - essentially one going to the store so I know when a payment has been received for an order - and another to know that a contribution has been made elsewhere on our site?

I'm stumped. Can anyone assist? Any guidance would be appreciate. Thanks!

Laura

i'm not sure about how zencart is setup, so my response might be incomplete

civicrm does send in the IPN url to paypal to let it know where to callback. i.e. the value u enter in the paypal settings screen is ignored. I suspect zencart does a similar thing

if everyone is at pending, most likely civicrm is not getting the IPN callback and/or the IPN callback is failing. You should check the civicrm/upload/CiviCRM.log file to see if a IPN was received

Lobo,

Could you help me fix this issue - or recommend someone who can? I simply don't have the programming/coding knowledge to resolve this.
