Multiple Discounts on one event

Does anyone know if it's possible to have more than 1 discount applied using CiviDiscount to the same event?
We have an event with multiple price sets and are trying to apply different discounts to each price set but it seems only one of the discounts is available to the whole event.

We're currently using CiviCRM 4.2 with the CiviDiscount extension but looking to upgrade to CiviCRM 4.4 soon - hopefully this isn't relevant in relation to this issue.
