CiviCRM Drupal pathauto/url alias integration

Hi,

I'd like to find a way to have nice urls for my membership and event pages, so that something like this:
civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=54

could become
events/my-great-event

I currently use pathauto for the drupal side, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried to integrate the pathauto api into civicrm? Or have any suggestions on how to do this / where to try to integrate? Am I just asking for a broken site?

Or is there something else I can use to achieve the same goal?

can u use pathauto for civicrm urls? if not, any idea why not?

there is no built in nice url functionality within civicrm (as yet)

There has been no developer interest in the past 15 months to even look at the issue. I've tried a bunch of times without much success other than people telling me it should be "a fairly easy fix".

Ah, yes, that's my same issue. I will take a closer look at those threads and see if I can at least come up with a plan. Thanks for the help!
