Collecting Event Feedback
August 11, 2014, 03:53:52 am
Hi guys,

Here at FF Towers we'd like to start collecting feedback on our events.

I've tried creating a custom data field on Participant that would be used in a profile. Sadly, when I've done this on the Profiles page there's no "use profile" option available for that profile.

When I hack the URL from a different link I get the message "Profile search, view and edit are not supported for Profiles which include fields for more than one record type."

Is there a better way? I thought about activities but it didn't seem that there'd be a good way of attaching an activity to a specific event.

You might be able to work around that problem if you are willing to give Webform_civicrm a run. It can update a participant's record - and it could also add an Activity - so you could attach the feedback info to the participant record, and have a record of who has completed their Feedback form. Just a thought

What is the scenario you need?

How are people going to be asked to provide feedback?

My Idea was to send a schedule reminder (mailing) after the event is finished. And I would include some custom fields & profile to facilitate some questionnaires.
