Adding a radio option to civievents
August 13, 2014, 09:26:49 am
Hi

I am trying to add a select or radio option to my Civievents. So that users registering for the events are given the choice of choosing between two option (e.g. option A or Option B.

I am able to create custom data fields but would like people registering to be the ones to select this option for themselves.

Any help will be appreciated

Cheers

Hi emmy. Once you've created the field, you need to add it to a profile in use by that event. If the event is not yet using a profile, create a new one and add it to the event. Profile settings are in the event "Online Registration" tab.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

Hi Coleman,

Thank you so much for that. It worked perfectly.

Though ran into other issues with regards to the DB.

When a user now tries to register for the set civievent I get this error:

Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
DB Error: constraint violation
Return to home page.

Might someone have any leads on how to solve this error.

Kind regards

It may be clear to Emmy and Coleman but to make it crystal clear for others. The radio button needs to be a custom Participant field, not a custom Event field (as I understand the request)
