[FIXED] Display tag descriptions
August 13, 2014, 04:41:36 pm
Bonjour

I have defined my needed tags.
I tried to use them;
it is ok, easy, just to check the selected tag.
I looked where the description of the tag is used (user view I mean). I expected a question mark ? After the name of the tag in order let the user understand the scope of the tag. Some time it is not obvious.

Other minor thing, the nickname field. It is minor, I suppose you already have noticed that.

A bientôt
roger

Question: do you know if we can save the CiviCRM and Drupal base at the same time. Because  Drupal and CiviCRM are integrated this (if possible) could be a nice option.

Roger, I do not understand. Can you send a screenshot and exact steps to reproduce the problem?

Re: CiviCRM 4.5.6 Setting tags in editing a person

Sorry my English  is not good enough.

For me it is ok, I could create the tags I need for Zellidja.

But I wanted to know why twio fields, the tag name and tag descripion
- tag name, obvious, it mus be short
- the description is to provide precision on the scope of the tag and what is used for.

The description is usuful
- for the administrator  to rember the exact meaning  of the tag
- and I supposed that this description is usuful for the user to. But I could not find where this description is presented to the user. I expected it was in a view contact or edit contact. I expected to see a bleu ? near the name of the descripion, clicking on it, I imagine to see the description. But for now we can do without

In my work, I alwaus ask to myself. What is the use of a field ? Does Zellidja needs it  ? Is this  field for the administrator ? For the user ? Where (in which form) it will appear ? And ACL, but ACL I will do after having provided to CiviCRM the parameters of CiviMember and CiviEvent, and CiviCase.

So my remark is a minor one  and could be , if required by a lot of people, a suggestion for a next version of CiviCRM

I had a good surprise with the 4.5 version, I think after a study, it will serve our needs.

Just a question, I know it is not debugging. I saw that with the ACL we can control the access to collection of data. for instance a person, an event , a group. But one of my need is to control the acces of a type of collection; For instance  I want to control the access to Event like "conference in a school" the creation must be permitted to a class of younghs

Do not

Yes that is a good suggestion and...
I have added the feature :)
You'll see it in the next beta.

I am doing making a lot of testint, in fact doing all parameters for Zellidja. As I said it is slow because I need to consult the documention.
After the tag I am now on contribute module.
Thanks
