Memory need in VPS setup?
May 14, 2008, 06:53:02 pm
What's the recommended minimum amount of dedicated RAM to get with a VPS hosting plan if you intend to run a moderate-traffic LAMP-based Drupal/CiviCRM site? (Presumably on CentOS/Fedora or something similar.)

Thanks!

I'm successfully running CiviCRM with a somewhat large database on a VPS with 256MB, though it's used for CiviMail almost exclusively. There's no front-end website. We had trouble when this site had only 96 MB.

I had 4 front-end sites & 2 CiviCRMs running on another VPS with 950 MB with no memory problems. But never tried that on less.
