ACL Bonanza

Hi guys,

Two questions regarding ACLs:

1) Can I use a hook to allow users of our client dashboard to edit relationships? Currently if they try they get an error saying that they need the permission Administer CiviCRM. I can't grant that level of permission to my users.

2) How are hooks like _civicrm_aclWhereClause triggered? It doesn't appear to be when I log in or save an ACL through the interface, or when I clear Civi or Drupal cache?
If you like empowering charities in a free and open way, then you're going to love Civi.
