pay later membership status should be initially 'pending'
August 19, 2014, 12:18:47 am
Hi,

I have several membership types, and they have all the option to 'pay later'.
The problem is, when I create this membership, the status is set to 'new' in stead of 'pending'.
I want the status to change when I set the contribution to paid

how can I do this?

regards

what you describe is what I expect to happen.

if payment is not made, then Payment is 'pending' and so is the Membership.

I just changed http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=2 so it works for PayLater

you can see the membership and contribution records for http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=202

Can you see what is different with your set up?

This might ring an alarm bell. It is CONTRIBUTION PAGES that you can set up 'pay later' for, not the MEMBERSHIP TYPE.

Can you compare your membership status rules to those on demo?

Also, have all of your membership types been defined with non-zero minimum fees?

I am using the standard statusrules and they are all non-zero minimum fees

add some screenshots perhaps - you talk about 'membership being new' but not clear where you are seeing this
